Lucy Bather
Research Director, Europe Desk and Podcast co-lead, London Politica
Lucy is a Research Director at London Politica, leading its Europe Desk (formally Ukraine Watch) and also leads the London Politica Podcast alongside CEO Manas Chawla. She is currently pursuing an MSc in Theory and History of International Relations at LSE, having graduated from UCL with a BA in French and Spanish last year.Her academic interests include the international politics of Latin America and Southeast Asia.
She is interested in how countries in these two regions interact with great powers and the impact of globalisation on their foreign economic policies. Lucy also works as an EU analyst for Polis Analysis where she writes regular analysis on political developments in the region. Prior to London Politica, Lucy has also volunteered as a policy writer for the charity Africa Health Organisation and has interned for the communications firm Branding Latin America. This year, she has also completed a course in political risk analysis run by Two Lanterns Advisory.
