Livia Paggi

Livia Paggi is a partner and the head of political risk at GPW, an international political risk, disputes consulting and investigations firm based across the globe.

At GPW, she advises multinational clients on doing business successfully in some of the world’s most challenging markets.

Over the past decade, Livia has developed expertise in Russia and the wider Eurasia region. Livia is a sought-after speaker and regularly provides commentary global political trends for the media, including for the BBC, Bloomberg TV, CNN and the Financial Times.

Livia holds an MSc in Energy Policy from Imperial College London, and a BA in Political Science from Columbia University.

Parag Khanna

Dr. Parag Khanna is the Founder and Managing Partner of FutureMap, a data-driven scenario planning and strategic advisory based in Singapore.

A prolific internationally best-selling author, his new book, MOVE: The Forces Uprooting Us, is due for publication in 2021 amid a wealth of prior titles addressing geo-politics, technology and the future of civilisation.

Dr. Khanna frequently provides tailored briefings on global trends, systemic risks and technological disruptions to government leaders, corporate executives and major broadcasters. He has been named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, serving in a number of its initiatives and a host of other advisory boards and organisations.

He has featured as a guest on the London Politica podcast, where he offered a fresh practical perspective of China’s Belt and Road Initiative and discussed Asia’s ‘new NATO’.

Sean West

Sean West is an innovator in the political risk space. He is the co-founder of Hence Technologies, an AI-driven platform for identifying and vetting legal, consulting and other professional services.

Previously, Sean led the global expansion and innovation of Eurasia Group, the world’s leading political risk advisory. At Eurasia Group, Sean was the founding Chief Executive Officer of egX, Eurasia’s platform for next generation geopolitical applications. He also served as Eurasia's global Deputy CEO and led the firm's expansion in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Prior to that, he founded the firm's US practice group and innovated its approach to political risk for financial markets and corporate clients in developed countries. Sean is a recognized geopolitical expert whose analyses have been published by the world's top broadcast and print outlets.

Sean is an alumnus of Harvard Business School where he completed the Advanced Management Program. He holds a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service.

Tristen Naylor

Dr Tristen Naylor is an Assistant Professor of International Politics and History at the University of Cambridge and Managing Director of Diplomatic Solutions Ltd.

An expert in diplomacy, Dr Naylor was previously the Lecturer in Diplomatic Studies at the University of Oxford and a Visiting Scholar at Sciences Po, Paris.

At Diplomatic Solutions, he helps businesses, municipalities, and charities address global challenges such as climate change, pandemic disease, and international migration.

Prior to his academic career, Dr Naylor served as a Policy Analyst and Advisor to the Government of Canada.

In 2008 he was awarded the Canadian Public Service Award of Excellence in recognition of his contributions to international development.

In his final post he served as an Officer at the Canadian High Commission in London.

Tim Williams

Tim set up and runs an advisory business intelligence function at a Fortune 500 company, providing insight on new opportunities and relationships, post-transaction problem solving and competitor intelligence. He previously spent a decade in the business intelligence industry, latterly as Managing Director of one of London’s boutique firms. 

Much of his work has been focused on the intersection of political and business affairs – exploring political influence in business relationships, investor objectives and sensitive transactions. 

Tim started his career as a political advisor, focused on foreign policy, and has degrees from the University of Hull and Missouri State.

George Coe

George Coe is a partner at Prism, a political risk start-up based in New York, USA.

He has spent over a decade advising clients across a range of industries on macro and strategic issues, most recently at Eurasia Group, the world’s oldest and largest political risk advisory firm.

Prior to this, George worked at the management consulting firm Kearney. George also has extensive experience in financial services, across professional services and private equity. 

George is a qualified accountant with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a BA in Politics and Economics from Loughborough University.

Johan Gott

Johan Gott is a partner at Prism, a political risk start-up based in New York, USA.

He spent 15 years at management consulting firm Kearney, starting in the company's in-house Think-Tank, The Global Business Policy Council and transitioning to lead strategic projects with clients across a range of industries in the Fortune 500.

Johan has also previously worked at the World Economic Forum, the United Nations, the Government of Lithuania, and Eli Lilly. 

He holds an MA in International Relations and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and a BSc in International Relations from the University of Gothenburg.

Basim Al-Ahmadi

Basim Al-Ahmadi is a thought leader, political risk consultant and media executive.

Basim is the co-founder of one of the world’s leading platforms that provide political risk analysis, Global Risk Insights (GRI). GRI was launched at the LSE and was the first platform dedicated to empowering young, aspiring political risk analysts around the world.

Basim has been at the forefront of innovation in the political risk field-leading efforts, along with Ethnographic Edge, to develop a cutting-edge political forecasting methodology called Future Generator which enables investors to forecast political events.

Before starting GRI, Basim managed the Middle East practice at SET Advisory, a political risk and strategy consultancy based in London.

Basim holds a Masters degree in Theory & History of International Relations from the London School of Economics (LSE).
