The 2020s began with one of the deadliest global pandemics in modern history, In mid-2021 the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan created upheaval in global politics while stirring internal violence. The Russian invasion of Ukraine at the beginning of 2022 sparked the biggest war in Europe since World War 2. Meanwhile, global geopolitical competition has continued apace and climate change and the rise of mass migrations adds further complications. All these events and trends are but a small selection of those that have contributed to the global deterioration of human, economic, political, and material security; with a significant impact on the human rights, economic and development prospects, and international stability of nearly all states across the globe.

London Politica’s Conflict and Security Watch research programme aims to provide cutting edge analysis on these topics, delivering sustained and up to date political, geopolitical, and security research aimed at supporting our clients, NGO’s and policymakers to grapple with conflict and security in the 21st century while providing thought leadership through actionable intelligence and mitigation strategies.
