Announcing Our New Partner, Global Citizen

Today, London Politica welcomed Global Citizen, the international advocacy organization, to its growing list of partners in the NGO and non-profit sector. Over the coming months, London Politica will be conducting research for Global Citizen on the ongoing pandemic with a special focus on initiatives to increase vaccine production capabilities, IP sharing, and the national budget processes for the Official Development Assistance (ODA). The results and reports from this endeavour will be made available to the public over the course of the following months.

Global Citizen is the world's largest movement of action takers and impact makers dedicated to ending extreme poverty by 2030. Founded in 2008 as the Global Poverty Project, Global Citizen has grown to an international organization with offices in New York, London, Berlin, Toronto, Lagos, and Johannesburg. Global Citizen has championed the most pressing social and environmental issues and joined the fight to end COVID-19, most recently with VAX Live: The Concert To Reunite The World in May, which mobilized more than 26 million COVID-19 vaccine doses and $302 million to the ACT-Accelerator for equitable health access to countries most in need. Earlier this month the advocacy organization announced Global Citizen Live - a 24-hour live broadcast with events and performances filmed across six continents to unite the world, defend the planet and defeat poverty, taking place on Saturday, September 25, 2021.

London Politica is the world’s largest pro-bono political risk advisory run by an international team of university students and young professionals. Leveraging a global network of experts, London Politica seeks to democratize the political risk industry by servicing sectors and entities traditionally priced out of the industry, such as NGOs, charities and nonprofits.

London Politica's Founder and CEO, Manas Chawla, said: "The coronavirus pandemic has exacerbated economic inequalities around the globe, and could add as many as 150 million people into extreme poverty this year. Equitable access to vaccines is a critical piece of this puzzle and it's an honour for London Politica to be providing bespoke political risk advice to Global Citizen to support their mission of ending extreme poverty by 2030."

Global Citizen’s Co-Founder and Chief Policy & Government Relations Officer, Mick Sheldrick, said: "Global Citizen is thrilled to be collaborating with London Politica, and to have the opportunity to leverage their research and analytic expertise to support our mission to end extreme poverty. In particular, we look forward to their reports contributing to our campaigning efforts for equitable access to vaccines for all, and towards our cross-cutting campaigning for all donor countries to ensure their Official Development Assistance (ODA) reaches 0.7% GNI."
