Arthur is a Senior Analyst in the Africa Watch and Global Commodities Watch teams at London Politica. Currently, he is a final year Beacon scholar at Cardiff University reading law.
Arthur’s research interests include business and development economics, commodities and financial markets, and financial institutions. He also explores legal policy and corporate transactions across a range of industries. At London Politica, Arthur has analysed commodity and cash pipelines for a global NGO and collaborated on a commodities report analysing the global potash and wheat markets. Externally, he has advised a fund on ESG issues as a Stephen Lawrence scholar.
Currently, Arthur is leading a team working on a report focused on food insecurity in Africa. He is also researching the energy crisis in Africa with a particular emphasis on the economic drivers behind the crisis and how to leverage investments across the continent to tackle this issue.
Outside London Politica, Arthur has been involved with a number of institutions such as Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Aon, the European Bank of Restructuring and Development, the Bank of England and a host of other law firms and financial institutions. He revived and led the Cardiff University law review, founded the Cardiff Commercial Awareness Society and has worked with the Sutton Trust, Lawyers Without Borders, Red Cross, and Support Through Court among others.
