Boyan Tsonev
Senior Research Analyst, Europe Watch, London Politica
Boyan Tsonev is a Senior Analyst of London Politica’s Europe Watch programme. He holds a Double Degree in Political Science and Law from Rey Juan Carlos University and a Master’s Degree in International Politics: Sectoral and Area Studies from Complutense University. His research interests revolve around socio-political issues, foreign policy, energy, and conflict in the Balkans, Russia and the Caucasus. His Master’s dissertation focused on Russia’s Foreign Policy in the Arctic region.
He currently works at the Spanish National Commission of Markets and Competition. Before joining London Politica, he wrote about Eastern Europe for 14Milimetros. There he also took part in the filming of two on-the-ground documentaries about Lebanon’s 2019 economic crisis and the 2020 Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict.
He is fluent in Bulgarian, Spanish, English, and Russian and has a working knowledge of German.
