Samuel Jardine invited to participate in Future Space Threats conference hosted by Wilton Park, in partnership with the UK MoD and FCDO

Our Head of Research, Samuel Jardine, was invited from Wednesday 24th to Friday 26th January to participate in Wilton Park’s Future Space Threats conference, hosted in partnership with the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). Samuel was there in his capacity as an Open Lunar Foundation 2023 Research Fellow to join other recognised space-orientated experts, officials, and specialists from several governments, civil society, academia, and the space industry in identifying the emerging Lunar and space-related opportunities, threats, risks, and explore how they might be seized or mitigated in the context of our growing geopolitically-informed global strategic competition. The discussions were in aid of the MoD and FCDO formulating relevant space policy and spending priorities for the next five years. While the Wilton Park Protocol was in place regarding the attendees and the nature of the discussions, an official report of the proceedings will be provided by Wilton Park for public consumption.
