Marlene Leiss

Senior Business Development Associate, London Politica

Marlene is a Senior Business Development Associate at London Politica and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Language, Culture and Society at the London School of Economics and Political Science, which includes an exchange year at Sciences Po Paris. Her academic interests lie in development, gender equality and social policy.

Before joining London Politica, she worked as head of external partnerships at Women Societies Alliance, an intercollegiate hub for female business and finance students in the UK and Europe, and has built a network of over 10,000 students.

Outside of London Politica, Marlene has interned with Ashoka, an NGO for social entrepreneurship, where she connected with entrepreneurs advancing the green new deal and climate-friendly policies regarding funding opportunities with HSBC. Marlene is also co-developing Nizz, an app for chores in shared households, and as acting COO, manages funding and accelerator opportunities.
