2024 UK Manifestos: MENA Analysis

The MENA region is relatively low on the list of priorities for all major parties. The region

has received little attention beyond the Israel-Palestine conflict where most parties are

pursuing fairly similar outcomes. The only exception is Reform UK which did not comment

on MENA at all. However, a number of indirect pledges stand out.

Conservatives, Labour, Liberal Democrats and the Greens have all pledged to recognise a Palestinian state, although some have placed caveats on the matter. Beyond Israel-Palestine, Iran is frequently noted as a hostile state.
