Pau Alvarez-Aragones

Research Director, Europe Desk, London Politica

Pau is a graduate student in Transatlantic Affairs (MATA) at the College of Europe and the Fletcher School at Tufts University, where he focuses on US-EU relations, security and defence studies, great power competition, and digital affairs. He graduated with a double BA in Political Science and Global Studies from Pompeu Fabra University. After being a Senior Analyst at the Conflict & Security Watch, he became a Research Director at the Europe Desk.

He has worked in the Public Affairs department at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, at the Regional Foreign Affairs Ministry of Catalonia, Spain, and as an event officer at UPF. He is currently a NATO Young Leader in the Council of Strategic Risks, taking part in conferences and dialogues about Transatlantic climate security and hybrid threats. He is a former Head of European Guanxi, an EU-China-focused think tank. During his experiences, Pau has organized conferences, articles, and interviews with professionals and representatives from international organizations.

Pau is also vocal about LGBTI and inclusive empowerment in government and the public sector and has been involved in initiatives to foster equality and diversity in decision-making processes. Looking to the future, he is eager to pursue a career at NATO or the EU, where he can apply his skills in political risk and foresight for a meaningful impact.
