Programme Analyst for Central Asia and the Caucasus
About London Politica
London Politica is a geopolitical risk advisory and think tank. We provide bespoke political risk analysis and actionable intelligence to help governments, humanitarian organisations, NGOs, and related stakeholders navigate increasingly volatile and contested political environments. We have worked with a range of organisations at the cutting edge of social impact, including:
United Nations World Food Programme
International Chamber of Commerce
International Committee of the Red Cross
Global Citizen
UK Police
Confederation of Indian Industry
World Economic Forum
London Politica also publishes analysis and insight on emerging and prominent trends in political, geopolitical, economic, and security through our 12 Research Programmes, as well as the London Politica Podcast, which features industry thought leaders, and influential policymakers. This enables us to provide comprehensive and thorough analysis on global political risks for our stakeholders and public audiences.
Research Department
Being part of London Politica’s Research Department means working to provide actionable analysis and real thought leadership direct to stakeholders and the general public as part of a spatially distant, but tightly integrated multinational team. It means being comfortable in a dynamic but demanding role where you are expected to keep your finger on the global geopolitical pulse, while staying one step ahead of the geopolitics of your specialist area.
Our public and stakeholder output is driven by our 12 regional or thematic-based Research Programmes. Through them we provide comprehensive, insightful, and accessible analysis in a variety of written and media formats independently or as part of wider cross-programme or external collaborations.
Role
Please note as a charity Think Tank (application submitted on 20/06/2024) we are staffed by volunteers and most roles offered for the foreseeable future will continue to be voluntary. To compensate most roles are highly flexible in terms of time commitment. As an organisation who operates globally, all roles are remote-working based.
We are looking for motivated Programme Analysts to join us at the Central Asia and Caucasus Programme. The Programme seeks to provide timely in-depth analysis of geopolitical, economic and security trends in the regions of Central Asia and the Caucasus within their current and historical contexts. The professional analysts of this programme, and we hope your future colleagues, work to support public and private actors and decision-makers in their efforts to gain a better understanding of the two regions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding the evolving policy landscape surrounding the regions of Central Asia and the Caucasus and providing actionable analysis of their business, security, and geopolitical environments. This role involves extensive research and analysis, and a ready command of the regions’ dynamics; language skills are also considered a plus. As a relatively small Programme we expect analysts to demonstrate commitment and initiative, and offer the potential for promotion to leadership roles down the line. Candidates do not need to demonstrate expertise, but should bring a healthy amount of enthusiasm and commitment to the goals of the Programme.
